This year, ESID (European Society of Immunodeficiencies) held its XVIth biennial meeting in Prague, in parallel with the XIIIth Meeting of the IPOPI (International Patient Organization for Primary Immunodeficiencies) and the INGID Meeting (International Group for Nurse Immunodeficiencies).
The program was, as always, interesting with a first day dedicated to the educational program, including the diagnostic and therapeutic approach in DIP. The opening lecture was dedicated to Johann Gregor Mendel and progress made since. The program of the two following days was rich and presented the latest developments in all areas of immunodeficiencies. Saturday morning was devoted to the General Assembly, which presented the results of the various committees and the new Board. This meeting was followed by an Oral Communications session on the latest findings, before closing with a conference by the President of ESID, Andrew Cant, and Awards.
Among the members of ASID present at this meeting, we can cite ASID President, Professor Rachida Boukari, the Secretary General, Prof. Ahmed Aziz Bousfiha, the Chair of Awareness Committee, Prof. Shereen M. Reda and the Chair of Registry Committee, Dr Monika Esser. Were also present Dr. Nesrine Radwan (Egypt), Dr. Nahla Erwa (Sudan), Prof. Fatima Ailal, Dr. Leila Jeddane and Mr. Ayoub Aglaguel (Morocco).
