Brian Eley is head of the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Unit at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and professor in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Cape Town. His research interests include the outcome of children treated with antiretroviral therapy, diagnosis of tuberculosis, the epidemiology of bloodstream infection and primary immune deficiencies in children.
