Doctor Nizar Mahlaoui is a Consultant in the Paediatric Immuno-Haematology and Rheumatology Unit, Necker Enfants Malades University Hospital, Paris, France where he also co-ordinates the French National Reference Center for Primary Immune Deficiencies (CEREDIH).

Dr. Mahlaoui has co-authored more than 140 publications, specialising in epidemiology and clinical research in primary immunodeficiency disorders.

He served as the Chairman-Elect of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) Registry Working Party.

He is the Chair of the Medical Advisory Panel of the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI).

Dr. Mahlaoui is also the founder and coordinator of a unique care transition programme called “La Suite-Necker” for teenagers and young adults with rare chronic diseases transitioning from paediatric to adult care.
