BELAID completed his doctoral fellowships in Pharmacy (2006-2012) at the faculty of Medicine of Algiers, Algeria, and medical Immunology (2013-2017) at the department of medical immunology of Beni Messous University Hospital center, Algiers, Algeria.

From October 2018 until today, he was on the faculty of medicine of Algiers and held his academic appointment as assistant professor of medical immunology at University of Algiers 1. He was also appointed as responsible for the cellular immunology and flow cytometry unit.

He has published 6 peer-reviewed articles, and leads various academic and laboratory projects related to inborn errors of immunity.
